We work with textiles, samples, offcuts, and surplus finishes that would otherwise be discarded, redirecting them into innovative second-life applications. Natural fibre textile waste is also explored through regenerative research partnerships, including mycelium-based material development in collaboration with Heartwood Mushrooms.
Through mentorship, collaboration, and applied learning, Sample/d gives emerging designers hands-on experience within real resource cycles while helping partners reduce waste responsibly. As part of the mpolo designs ecosystem, Sample/d connects material diversion, education, and creative development to help shape a future where design is rooted in responsible resource use.
Our Partnerships
This partnership strengthens our shared goal of keeping materials in circulation for as long as possible. It also supports a more resilient and environmentally responsible design ecosystem.
