Eco Art Camp
Raising eco-stewards through engagement and play
Parents - we see you. Self care options HERE

Eco Art Camp Hours: 10am – 5pm
Before and after care available

Ages: 4yr -10yr

We provide healthy, organic snacks—fresh veggies from our garden and homemade baked goods. Campers (our young eco-stewards) should bring a packed lunch each day. Please let us know about any allergies or dietary needs in the registration form.

Each day features hands-on art projects using safe, non-toxic, and reused materials. Over the week, campers may collaborate on a group piece that brings together everything they've learned.

Daily outdoor walks and neighborhood clean-ups are part of our routine, rain or shine! We'll provide gloves, tongs (“pinchy pickers”), and bags—just make sure your child dresses for the weather.

We'll also bring eco-concepts to life through puppetry and playful storytelling.

Don’t miss our 2pm matinee shows—an imaginative way for kids to share what they've discovered!
Welcome to Our Eco Art Camp: Creative Exploration Through Sustainability
We’re excited to invite your child to our Adaptive Reuse and Found Objects Art Camp—a fun, hands-on experience where art, nature, and eco-conscious living come together.

Each day, campers will explore the world around them through creative projects and outdoor adventures. They'll learn how small actions can make a big impact on the environment—all while having a blast!

Camp activities include:

Eco Art Camp - on the road

As I near the completion of my Master's thesis—The Exploration of Sustainable Behavioural Change to Empower Real and Lasting Changes in the Home—I'm reminded of why I began this journey in the first place: to care for others through knowledge, experience, and love.
As a mother and an interior designer, I’ve seen firsthand how the materials and products we bring into our homes can impact our health and well-being. The volatile compounds and chemical breakdown of finishes in our interiors may be invisible, but their presence is real—and sometimes deeply personal.
I know this because my own family was affected. When my first son was just five months old, he was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL). While there is no proven direct link between this type of cancer and environmental exposures, that experience changed everything for us. (Thankfully, Calvin is doing well now.) But I couldn’t help but ask: What if there were things we could’ve done differently? What if the invisible risks in our homes could be made visible—and preventable—for other families?
That’s what drives me. I believe we can take agency in our environments. We can make informed, compassionate choices—starting right at home. Together, we can create healthy, happy spaces that not only protect the people we love but also support a more sustainable world. And it begins with our little ones, who have the most to lose—and the most to gain.
Let’s build better environments and better futures, one conscious choice at a time.
Monica is a mother of two young men, a trained and practiced interior designer specializing in healthy materials and holds her redcross and first aid.

This EcoArt Camp is a non registered Daycare as per the regulations of the City of Toronto, and is capped at 5 ecostewards/session. This intimacy allows us to take our time with content and allow the stewards to decide what they would like to explore and create art with and how. Please see below for our circulum and leaning objectives.
What We
Offer
Understanding healthy materials
Learning objectives
We take a closer look at everyday household items—like linens, finishes, art supplies, cleaning products, and even personal care items such as soap and toothpaste—to explore what “healthy” really means in the spaces we live in.
Food cycle and nutrition
Learning objectives
Campers will get their hands dirty as they watch our garden veggies grow, learn about nutrients, and plant their own vegetables to care for throughout the week. At the end of camp, they’ll take their plants home in a special pot they create themselves—made from sustainable mycelium!
Cleaning - our environments and bodies
Learning objectives
Exploring natural personal care & cleaning products
Learning to trust our senses and choose healthier options for home and body.
Water play and filtration
Learning Objectives
We explore how we use water in our daily lives—from watering the garden to washing, flushing, and drinking. Campers will learn how water moves through these systems and why clean water matters. Using simple testing strips, we’ll investigate water quality at each stage and explore how filtration works.
Let us talk energy
Learning objectives
We'll explore the concept of energy in multiple forms—how it's generated through solar panels, and how our own bodies use energy when we walk, move, and play. Campers will also be introduced to the big ideas of embodied energy and carbon in fun, age-appropriate ways, using art and abstract thinking to make these concepts more relatable.
Rest and learning to relax
Learning Objectives
Practicing rest & self-regulation
Encouraging kids to recognize their needs and explore calming tools for restoration.
